About Us
Connie Fairbanks, Owner/Manager of Big Island Nannies Aloha LLC was a Head Start teacher in Washington State for 10 years. She has completed and is certified in Early Childhood Development and Education. In addition she was a preschool teacher with the First Years Preschool for 5 years. Most recently she was Assistant Director of the YMCA sponsored A+ After School Program at Kealakehe Elementary School and is a Certified Paraprofessional Educational Assistant with the State Of Hawaii Department of Education. She also worked in the Special Education Department in Kealakehe High School. Connie is also a member of PATCH, an organization that is dedicated to the health and well being of the children of Hawaii.
Marla Hanson was a preschool teacher in Northern California for thirteen years and worked as a teacher in Marin County for 6 years before moving to the Big Island of Hawaii. On the Big Island she worked as a teacher for Head Start. She then co-founded and was the co-owner of Big Island Nannies LLC. which was started in January of 2001. She now acts as the Consulting Manager for Big Island Nannies Aloha LLC.
